Review - Beyond Alice In Blooming Snow Cushion in 02 Natural Beige

Hello folks! :D

Totally excited for today's review. I'm a fan of Disney, especially Alice, Tinkerbell, and Ariel. Beyond had released a makeup line before, with Alice too, called Alice in Glow, but it's not 'appealing' enough for me that I would buy it. But when I saw this from Beyond's Instagram (the Korean one) I know I must get this in any way. I searched all over the net to find a seller and finally got one. And now let's hop on to the review!

I mean look at the box! I never posted any makeup box pictures in my blog before I guess. This one I feel like I must cause I'm sharing cuteness~ lololol >w<

You can see the info at the back says no paraben. That's good to know since it doesn't provide English ingredients list -__-. So it says this is a blooming festival with Alice In Wonderland - Moisture cushion that maintains bright skin with micro foam cushion. I don't really mind with it being moisture cushion cause I'll top it with oil controlling powder anyway usually. It got this Walt Disney mark on the back of the box and the back of the cushion.

So this is the cushion, same design with the box. The difference is that the words 'Curiouser and Curiouser' is not metallic but just normal print, unlike the 'Alice in Wonderland' which is metallic. The design definitely makes me wanna sing that 'Golden Afternoon' song from the movie xD not to mention the fabulous rose gold side.

Now to the insides.
Even that sponge is so cute! I hope they'll sell the sponge alone too. The sponge is somewhat peachy color unlike any other. Or maybe there is one but  just don't know it :p There's something different about the sponge, I'm not sure it's thinner or simply just smoother. It just feels much softer on the skin.

Some sealing with hangeul which you can find it anywhere in cushion products

When I open this OMG I swear this is the BEST smelled cushion ever. It's not like I'm a huge fan of perfume (which is not recommended in face products) but this smell reaaallllyyy good. Not very strong but it's just good. I guess this really live up to the name blooming (flower) festival.

Close up to the sponge. I would say it LOOKS kinda patchy crackling dry, but no worries, it's totally moist when you touch/press it.

And so how's the result?

Left is before, right is after. My skin isn't that bad these days so I don't really have any active pimple or anything, but there are still some dark spots. I would say the coverage is medium? It's not perfect but much better than okay. In my opinion the coverage is on the same level with Laneige's Pore Control Cushion. The texture is rather light, as it doesn't give me that cakey feeling on the face.

Honestly this is the very first cushion I used to go out without finishing it with powder. I was so lazy that day I mean like only went to the campus for 3 hours tops so I don't think I need to 'seal' it with powder. It was a hot afternoon and my face was sweating since I was on motorbike when I go, then I walk quite far 'cause I need to send things, and go home by motorbike again. Of course because it's not sweatproof or anything it melted a little bit after around 4 hours, but the coverage is still there after I blot my face.

I would say this last around 6 hours on me and even much more with powder on top. I'd say 12 hours max. Cause when I use makeup remover by then the product is still there. But of course NO TOUCHING the face with hands okay. If you're sweating then use the tissue by TAPPING instead of swiping, same when you're blotting.

As an additional information, because I like the case so so much, I tried to fit it to other brands' cushions, and it totally clicks and fit with The Faceshop's cushion perfectly. Mine's the oil control water cushion and if I'm not wrong it's also the same with the recently launched CC cushion. Unfortunately Amore Pacific's brands' cushion can't fit because they got an extra flap on the refill's lid.

And so that's the end of today's review!

Please don't forget to follow my blog and see you in the next post! :D

Review - Shara Shara Aqua Marine Moisture Pact in #21

Hello, folks! :D

Back again for another review. This time it's a product from Shara Shara. It's not that I don't like this product, but I just have a mixed feeling about it.

Anyhow, have you join my giveaway? I'm giving 50 cosme samples and 25 face masks~ It's my first giveaway so I really hope you guys would join :D

Let's continue with the review
It comes in a usual round powder case, with a cute design on top.

A lil info at the back. I still have the box, but everything is in Korean so it doesn't help much.... I can only get that this is in shade 21 *lol!

Look at the inside! So cute! Just the same design with the case though...... Anyhow, the puff is just usual puff so I didn't really bother taking picture

Okay, so as the name, it's supposed to be moisturizing or something like that (not that I bought it without knowing, but my sister bought it for me). At first I was not paying any attention to the product 'cause I was thinking like, nah, it's just another powder pact, nothing unusual.

But then I tried it and I was like, damn this is so drying. It's really good in oil control too, I would say. I didn't know that this is a moisture pact until I went to Korea with my sisters and found this in the Shara Shara store. *facepalm*

I tried to google up others opinion but I can't get any review. In my own opinion, it to review how the product works as how it supposed to, I would say this is a very fail product. But in the other hand, since I have a combination (rather oily) skin, this is a win product for me.

But actually it's still to drying for my face because some times it even makes the skin around my nose flakes off if used alone. I sometimes used this as a finishing powder after cushion or BB cream or anything. The left one, I'm using Ettusais BB cream, and the right one I layer it with the Shara Shara Aqua Marine Pact. You can see that this powder totally erases the glow on my face. It kinda gives a lil, just a little, that cakey look too.

So? What do you guys think? Any of you ever tried this powder pact? Just leave comment below~

Thank you for reading my blog, and so see you in the next post! :D

Review - Kate Powderless Liquid for Cover SPF20 PA++

Hello, folks! :D

How are you guys doing since new year? For some, school has started yet again, going to work like usual, while others are still in holiday, like me. Lol! Somehow I kinda caught in 9gag's sarcasm for this new year. (Y'know, the Robert Downey Jr. meme?) Now I'm getting out of topic, sorry guys. :p

In any other way, have you join my giveaway? I'm giving 50 cosme samples and 25 face masks~ It's my first giveaway so I really hope you guys would join :D

And so! This Kate Powderless Liquid is my favorite foundation so far. I've been using this for about 2.5 years (since my first time traveling to Japan) and when I went to Japan again last year I bought another one. The packaging comes in simple cylinder with a pump to dispense the product. It's so sleek just like other Kate's products.

They are in different shades though. One's in OC-B (right) and one's in OC-C (left)

Maybe some of you will pop a question like 'why bought 2 different shades?' It actually because sometimes OC-B is not 'suitable' for me. Some people would ask me like, 'are you sick?', 'you looked so pale'. It's not like it's too light for skin tone. But well, originally people will judge from my face and always saying like 'omg you're so white'. Even though my arms are actually a few shades darker. So in foundation I won't hesitate to go by a shade darker.
Fortunately OC-C isn't that so much darker or something so I could easily change in between according to my mood (what?) and my skin tone of the day..... (Honestly I almost couldn't tell the difference by the monitor.. In reality it's more noticeable)

What so special about this Powderless Liquid is that after you apply it onto your skin, after 15 secs the texture will changes. Below is a moment after applied. It's already noticeable that the ends (that has less product) already has a different texture. So basically the thinner the layer the quicker it turns somewhat powdery

This is after about 15 secs. Sorry for the blurry pic. But you can see now the texture is already more even than before. I guess the head didn't dry because it's too thick.

This is after I blend it again. Actually it almost nothing to blend...
Once you left it to be set and turns powdery, it's so hard to blend it. It's almost useless to try blending it after it sets so I have to make sure I spread and blend it well onto my face quickly before it dries and sets.

And I figure out that it's actually kind of waterproof. You see when I swatched it and try to wash it off by rubbing it won't come off....

Well, it doesn't stay that waterproof all day long. Let's just say, if I wanted to go out all day long (10-12 hours), I must reapply because my T-zone would get oily and make it wear off. Maybe some of you would think that's already great, but in my experience, cushions + MJ powder combo is top-notch in staying power compared to this.

But still this is a really good product! This is my no.1 alternative to my combo for everyday, everywhere, anytime use.

Picture to the left is bare, and one to the right is with the Kate Powderless Liquid. Not too shabby, eh? Definitely good. I would say the coverage is medium to medium high since it's quite buildable too.
One pump is not enough, but two is also too much. So about 1.5 pump for the whole face is enough for me.

Down side of this product, is that it isn't sold here in Indonesia. If I ever want to buy it again I need to order online or some like that. *sob sob*

And so that's all for today's review!

See you guys in the next post! :D

Review - Beyond Save Us Lipstick in 03 Beige

Hello folks! :D

Back again with blogging after some time. April started with a very hectic weeks (cause of midterm and all).

This time it's Beyond's product again, yes, I love the brand and their products!
I'm lucky enough to win the Chinese New Year makeup contest held by Beyond Indonesia back in February. I won total 3 products of their Save Us line, an eyeshadow, blusher, and this lipstick.
When you open it you can see cute little otters around the cylinder. So cute!
The packaging is plastic but the cylinder inside is metal as you can see.

So happy to get the lipstick in this shade because I've been wanting it for like a year already. Look at the super cute bullet! No one can't be not wanting this. LOL.

When I looked at it I thought well it would be a non-glitter lipstick finally, but I'm wrong! It's glittery -_- (not too much though)
But the shade is super lovely. I finally have a nude lipstick! >v< The color is coralish-beige. I was kinda hoping it would turn out pinkish though. But I just don't mind~~
I can tell that this lipstick is super moisturizing when I apply it. It glides super smooth just like the Kate's Rouge HG or the Luster one. The huge plus point is that this one feels very lightweight even if I layer it.

However the finish is rather not my liking because it looks kinda waxy. Waxy finish makes the lips kinda look fake and makes the overall face look old in my opinion. Just a very personal opinion.
With different camera lighting...... In the picture it looks gorgeous though.

It has this cola-berry smell, but not that significant,,,, I can't really describe but it's not one strong smell - almost scentless - so it's super fine with me.

Anyhow, the staying power is okay. Won't disappear unless you eat or drink just like usual lipstick. But since the shade is nude so I can't really tell. Just after I finished eating that lipstick feel was totally gone and I assume the color definitely had gone too.

That's all for this time's review.
Oh, and please follow my blog by GFC :)

See you guys in the next post! :D

Review - Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

Hello folks! :D

Finally getting back to blogging!

This time will still be a review of my HG moisturizer. Really. I love love this.
If last time it's the 'gel', now it's the 'water gel'

So it's in a jar. The size is just 'normal'. Not too big not too small. But yea so bulky if it's for travel so I usually move some of it to a mini jar (those around sample size). The packaging is similar to the tube one, which is plastic inside, then covered with glass. Even if it's empty already it's a lil bit heavy. But the glass just make it looks like an expensive product. The fact that it's not as pricey as it looks. In Singapore it's around 22sgd (if I'm not mistaken) and when I bought this in HK i bet it's more cheaper.

Anyway I'm currently using the 2nd jar - I finished the first one already.

The scent is kinda similar to the gel (the one in the tube) yea obviously it's the same line. I like the smell though. It's not a strong scent so I think it's still bearable for those anti to scents.

The texturee

And when spread,,,,,

Okay so here's the interesting part. The texture. I'm so wondering about the packaging. Why the 'gel' with thicker consistency is packed in tube while this, packed in jar. I first tested it in HK before I bought it back then. I tried and I'm loving the texture. When the gel's absorbed, it leaves your skin not greasy nor sticky AT ALL. My skin even feel kinda funny-smooth. It's like it has a 'smooth-veil' formula or something. But not that primer-smooth feels. Just a bit different.

I usually use this as my last step of morning skin routine as it really absorbs all the stickiness left from the previous steps. So these days the routine be like: toner, lotion, this, then make-up. But if I skipped the lotion part, it would be too dry for my skin.

The reason I don't use this at night 'cause I wanted a more plump/thicker moisturizer at night. This isn't meant for night application though.

I don't mind that it doesn't give so much moisturizing feels as for this product the plus point for me is the texture. At least it doesn't clog my pores anyway. Me myself won't use only 1 moisturizer so yeah,, I still love this.

Okay now the conclusion!
Packaging. 4 stars. Kinda heavy. But I like how it looks.
Scent. 5 stars. No complaints. lol!
Texture. 5 stars. Smooth and kinda matte. Bye-bye stickiness.
Result. 3 stars. Not so 'hydro-boost' if used alone.

I will keep using this from now on I guess. I still have 1 totally new jar. :P
Now I'm running out of it. Anyone in Indonesia know where to get this? Please let me know :) Would be very appreciated.

See you guys in the next post! :D

Review - Milani Illuminating Face Powder in #3 Beauty's Touch | Cosmekita

Hello, folks! :D

Another blusher to review from Cosmekita.

Here's the pic.
Looked fab isn't it?

Honestly it smells kinda weird... Roses, perhaps?? Just don't like it. The smell is kinda too strong for me.

So this is supposed to be a multi-function product, as blush, bronzer and highlighter....

If I blend it, it could only be a blusher, for me. If I want this product to really works I'd better use it separately, than mixing the colors.

Each color swatches...

The texture is just usual powder with a lots of shimmers and that very illuminating effect.
When blended... above is without and below is with.

It can be sheer or very pigmented. The color is really buildable, I looked good with just sheer. If I build it up the blush will accentuate my scar on my cheek and I really wanna avoid that.

So the conclusion.
Design and packaging. 3 stars. Just looking 'good' not like better or anything. But the roses texture does looks good.
Scent. 3 stars. Too strong for me. x_x
Texture. 3 stars. Usual 'illuminating' powder..... Dunno what was I expecting....
Pigmentation. 5 stars. From very sheer to very pigmented.

Honestly nothing really interests me with this product..... But yeah at least it's not a disappointing product.

And this would be the last product from Cosmekita to be reviewed and,
I think I'm gonna be hiatus again for some time until June.... Choir competition, performing at graduation, concert and ASSIGNMENTS. But I will still participate for IBB's May MUC because of the theme! Well I honestly still have no idea though but I'm sooo participating! :D

See you guys in the next post!

Review - Silkygirl Big Eye Collagen Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black | Cosmekita

Hello, folks! :D

Still with products from Cosmekita. This time it's a mascara from Silkygirl! I don't have and never try a Silkygirl product before yeah so I hope this is good!

When I got this I also very excited because I thought it's a BLUE mascara but then I read the label and oh... it's just a black mascara.... :p Indeed I wanna try lots of unusual mascara color! So far I have only black, brown, and dark blue. I want something like purple, red, or that ashy blonde shade lol. I wish such mascara color existed.

So, this claims to keep our lashes healthy due to the collagen and actually I can't tell the difference whether my lashes are healthy or not.... :/

When I pull out the wand and I saw the comb, me be like OwO it's not a usual brush applicator xD
But I must say Silkygirl might 'overworked' on the length of the comb... It's just too long which in my opinion tends to mess up things. And it actually kinda like Etude House's Shockara when looked from the top

This mascara supposed to amplified the lashes' volume for 15 times (it claimed) and it does makes my lashes more in volume! But to say like 15 times for it's kinda too exaggerating... But still love how it makes my lashes looked thick <3

Looked very natural don't you think?
One important point: NO CLUMPS!
I swear I have no idea why my lashes are so damn messy -_-

Okay, so it doesn't smudge, which is great because so far what I experience outside Japanese mascara is that they smudge. But the curl doesn't last at all. Like, just finished curling very painfully and when I finish applying the mascara my lashes be like drop down very quickly :v
I envy you guys with naturally curled lashes... Or even straight! Straight lashes are still better than downward lashes....

BUT! A good side due to not lasting the curls, I don't need to use mascara nor eye makeup remover! Just wash everything out and my lashes are clean! :D

So the conclusion.
Design and packaging. 3 stars? Just usual tube and it's kinda longer tube than other mascara....
Volume. 5 stars. Makes my lashes much more thicker! Even that it's not 15 times but that's okay.
Lengthening. 5 stars! I must say it's not losing to Majolica Majorca's lengthening mascara!
Curls. 2 stars. 2 for not dropping immediately. 1 if it drops immediately.
Waterproof. This is kinda hard to tell the rate. It doesn't smudge, which is great, but it's removable just by washing my face which mean it's not likely to smudge all over and wear off if I cry or splashed or whatever.

Yeah that's all of my opinion of this mascara. Tell me if I missed anything.

See you guys in the next post! :D

Carol
