Review - Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

Hello folks! :D

Finally getting back to blogging!

This time will still be a review of my HG moisturizer. Really. I love love this.
If last time it's the 'gel', now it's the 'water gel'

So it's in a jar. The size is just 'normal'. Not too big not too small. But yea so bulky if it's for travel so I usually move some of it to a mini jar (those around sample size). The packaging is similar to the tube one, which is plastic inside, then covered with glass. Even if it's empty already it's a lil bit heavy. But the glass just make it looks like an expensive product. The fact that it's not as pricey as it looks. In Singapore it's around 22sgd (if I'm not mistaken) and when I bought this in HK i bet it's more cheaper.

Anyway I'm currently using the 2nd jar - I finished the first one already.

The scent is kinda similar to the gel (the one in the tube) yea obviously it's the same line. I like the smell though. It's not a strong scent so I think it's still bearable for those anti to scents.

The texturee

And when spread,,,,,

Okay so here's the interesting part. The texture. I'm so wondering about the packaging. Why the 'gel' with thicker consistency is packed in tube while this, packed in jar. I first tested it in HK before I bought it back then. I tried and I'm loving the texture. When the gel's absorbed, it leaves your skin not greasy nor sticky AT ALL. My skin even feel kinda funny-smooth. It's like it has a 'smooth-veil' formula or something. But not that primer-smooth feels. Just a bit different.

I usually use this as my last step of morning skin routine as it really absorbs all the stickiness left from the previous steps. So these days the routine be like: toner, lotion, this, then make-up. But if I skipped the lotion part, it would be too dry for my skin.

The reason I don't use this at night 'cause I wanted a more plump/thicker moisturizer at night. This isn't meant for night application though.

I don't mind that it doesn't give so much moisturizing feels as for this product the plus point for me is the texture. At least it doesn't clog my pores anyway. Me myself won't use only 1 moisturizer so yeah,, I still love this.

Okay now the conclusion!
Packaging. 4 stars. Kinda heavy. But I like how it looks.
Scent. 5 stars. No complaints. lol!
Texture. 5 stars. Smooth and kinda matte. Bye-bye stickiness.
Result. 3 stars. Not so 'hydro-boost' if used alone.

I will keep using this from now on I guess. I still have 1 totally new jar. :P
Now I'm running out of it. Anyone in Indonesia know where to get this? Please let me know :) Would be very appreciated.

See you guys in the next post! :D

Review - Skinfood Lettuce & Cucumber Water Jelly Cream

Hello, folks! :D

So how is your holiday?
Today I'm gonna review my current favorite cream. Even it's my current favorite, I won't be repurchase this for a while because I want to try different products! :3

*drumroll*
Taa-daa The Skinfood Lettuce & Cucumber Water Jelly Cream!
Love love the packaging! It's made of glass though. The glass itself is a gradation from transparent to green with shimmers. In the picture it looks the cream's still full right? but actually NO! When I took the pic it almost run out. lol. You see that water-drop like on the lid? It's no water. But it makes the lid more interesting for me xD
Unfortunately, it comes just like this. Really. Like this. No box. However the explanation is on the bottom of the jar (which I forgot to take picture duh!). But still. I'd like to have additional box since it's not plastic.

The cream's texture and when spread.
The cream here on the picture is white, but on the jar I believe it looks kinda greenish (or maybe it's just the effect of the glass color I mentioned before)

If you think it's gonna be a thick cream like any other cream then you're gonna be disappointed. This cream is runny. Sometimes. I mean, it's hard to only take a little amount. Most likely you'll end up picking water-like substance. Me myself I'll use a lot because if I only use a little I don't feel moisturized enough. But even when I apply a lot, it'll be absorbed quickly and not leaving any stickiness! And it even cut the stickiness my-previously-applied-moisturizer by half! How amazing is that. You see when the cream's spread, it turns to be water-like but just a little thicker.

Anyway, I find out that this run out REAL QUICK on me. Maybe because I use it too much? This last about 2 months, more or less, on me, who use real lots.

The scent itself,,,,,, I dunno what to comment. But don't get me wrong! It smells really good. And for me it's actually kinda smells like melon jelly. Well, nothing like lettuce or cucumber I guess. However the scent may stay kinda long so you guys who prefer scentless may annoyed. lol.

Now the result! From Skinfood themselves they only said that this is meant to cool down and hydrates. But I once asked the Skinfood's shopkeeper in Jakarta and he (yes he. A male) said it's good to reduce redness too! The redness I meant here is not because of acne, just sometimes in the morning during morning skincare routine, my face got kinda red -like of sensitive (But I don't have a sensitive skin really!). And this cream helps! That's why I really like this.

Another thing, just a tips, it feels GGUUUREAAAATT if you put this to freezer couple of minutes (I once left it there for 1 hour lol because I forgot). Feels like you're applying ice water on your face <33333

So into the conclusion!
Packaging. 4 stars. The jar itself I love it but I prefer to have extra outer box.
Texture. 5 stars! Not sticky and cuts all other greasiness!
Scent. 5 stars. I don't mind melon jelly and the fact I like it.
Result. 5 STARS. No doubt that it do all that it's claimed for. Cools, hydrates, reduces redness. Thumbs up.

So what do you think?

See you guys in the next post! :D

Review - Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel

Hello, folks! :D

Back with another review. Again.
Sorry for not able to post for a time..
Honestly I was sick, because I catch a cold when I went 'somewhere' to do registration of 'sumthin' LOL. really. And I recover for a week and sick again, which I suspects it's actually IBS (Intestine Bowel Syndrome) oh yah well I recovered quickly and working the hellllllllll out for postponed assignments and exam. Hectic, right?

Anyway with the review, this Neutrogena gel is bought by my sister in Singapore because my mom and I were so sold to the ads in TVBS-G channel (some Taiwanese channel but too bad I can't watch it anymore...)

In the ads it shows that it gives super moisture and lock it in the skin by summer. Of course it has sun protection, but only 30 with PA++...

Here's the pic of the product~
It comes in a blue tube which I really love! It's not glass, it's plastic so it's not that heavy. To think again it's actually all plastic... -__-

Below is the description on the bottle.
Nowadays what we (I) need is SPF 50 and above and with PA++++! Yes, 4 plus!

Here's the pic of the pump! Just usual pump.. I need like 1-1.5 pump for 1 usage.. I wonder if it's too much..
But this 1 bottle last long already. I think it's like almost a year or so and I still haven't finish it even that I use this daily!

Now the texture!

It's blue. And smells nice for me. But. It's actually quite thick for me.. It's easily spread but just doesn't absorbed by my skin that easily. In fact, it feels like it just sit there without 'infusing' itself to my skin, IF YOU DON'T MASSAGE IT. The instruction actually tells you to massage it.

Regardless, even with massaging, for me, is still hardly absorbed by my skin.

It may keeps my skin hydrated, but just the 'outer' side of my skin right after usage. I feel like it needs to be left like that for some time to really hydrates the 'inside'.

That's quite some seconds after I spread the gel. (Since I don't have steady hand so I need to take quite long time for a macro picture.. *sob*)
Still looks quite thick and unabsorbed right? :/ That's what I think anyway.

Conclusion:
Packaging. 5 stars. I'M LOVIN' IT. Since it's blue. :p It's not made from glass so I don't need to worry if it falls.
Texture. 1 star. I'm not liking that it's hard to absorbed by the skin and left me with sticky face.
Scent. I wonder how may stars... It's just that so-so nice... 4 stars, I guess.
Result. 3 stars. Quite good but needs that tad of time! And I'm that person who's always in a rush (puh-lease! xD)

So what do you think?

Till minutes ago, I, again, struggle with sticky hair. But I'm not sure that my hair is now safe. Because I can still feel the stickiness, even though it's much better. And to be honest that method I post some time ago didn't work at all... My friend suggest me to see a dermatologist.. I still want to see the improvement anyhow..

That's all for now. Sorry for MIA for a month. I was planning to held a giveaway last November since it's my birthday, but whatsoever I was sick and I didn't even celebrate it... See you in the next post!!
