Review - Silkygirl Big Eye Collagen Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black | Cosmekita

Hello, folks! :D

Still with products from Cosmekita. This time it's a mascara from Silkygirl! I don't have and never try a Silkygirl product before yeah so I hope this is good!

When I got this I also very excited because I thought it's a BLUE mascara but then I read the label and oh... it's just a black mascara.... :p Indeed I wanna try lots of unusual mascara color! So far I have only black, brown, and dark blue. I want something like purple, red, or that ashy blonde shade lol. I wish such mascara color existed.

So, this claims to keep our lashes healthy due to the collagen and actually I can't tell the difference whether my lashes are healthy or not.... :/

When I pull out the wand and I saw the comb, me be like OwO it's not a usual brush applicator xD
But I must say Silkygirl might 'overworked' on the length of the comb... It's just too long which in my opinion tends to mess up things. And it actually kinda like Etude House's Shockara when looked from the top

This mascara supposed to amplified the lashes' volume for 15 times (it claimed) and it does makes my lashes more in volume! But to say like 15 times for it's kinda too exaggerating... But still love how it makes my lashes looked thick <3

Looked very natural don't you think?
One important point: NO CLUMPS!
I swear I have no idea why my lashes are so damn messy -_-

Okay, so it doesn't smudge, which is great because so far what I experience outside Japanese mascara is that they smudge. But the curl doesn't last at all. Like, just finished curling very painfully and when I finish applying the mascara my lashes be like drop down very quickly :v
I envy you guys with naturally curled lashes... Or even straight! Straight lashes are still better than downward lashes....

BUT! A good side due to not lasting the curls, I don't need to use mascara nor eye makeup remover! Just wash everything out and my lashes are clean! :D

So the conclusion.
Design and packaging. 3 stars? Just usual tube and it's kinda longer tube than other mascara....
Volume. 5 stars. Makes my lashes much more thicker! Even that it's not 15 times but that's okay.
Lengthening. 5 stars! I must say it's not losing to Majolica Majorca's lengthening mascara!
Curls. 2 stars. 2 for not dropping immediately. 1 if it drops immediately.
Waterproof. This is kinda hard to tell the rate. It doesn't smudge, which is great, but it's removable just by washing my face which mean it's not likely to smudge all over and wear off if I cry or splashed or whatever.

Yeah that's all of my opinion of this mascara. Tell me if I missed anything.

See you guys in the next post! :D

Review - Fairydrops Platinum Mascara Waterproof type

Hello, folks! :D

So actually back then I wanted to buy this in Japan but I didn't saw it and end up buying it in Singapore. Real pricey, I must say. But really worth (for me).
I present you Fairydrops Platinum Mascara Waterproof type!
The pink metallic packaging just shows the 'high' price already! lol.

How it looks and when you roll it over...

The Platinum Mascara itself actually got another version - Film-type - But really, I would never buy a not waterproof mascara. The idea is that my super stubborn straight lashes are going go straight down again if it's not waterproof. (Just the 'idea' that's planted in me. You may experience differently)

This is how the mascara brush looks with their trademark 3 tear shape and curvy brush

Close up. You can see there are fibers sticking out xD

The brush claims to separate lashes and lengthens and reach corners.

Can't say anything about scent. I don't think this has that typical mascara scent. I assume it's scentless.

You can see the thickness difference between my upper lashes and lower lashes. More defined and becomes real long!
Zero clumps! The most least clump mascara ever! *thumbs up* I have that 2-layers-lashes that REALLY tends to clump.

Looks SUPER natural (omg i'm loving this angle! >///< ) and seriously, I ever washed my face (with facial soap of course!) with this mascara on and the curl stays! Indeed I'm very surprised. Because it was after I came home from college and I always reach home drenched in sweat (Eww.. Yah well I need to walk some distance to get home) Even MJ's mascara will be droppy after I wash my face. I do need to use make-up remover on this but I don't experience anything like hard to remove.

Really I LOVE this very very very very much. This shuts up my crazy lashes.

Conclusion!
Packaging. 5 stars. Loving the metallic pink tube. Looks high class!
Brush. 5 stars. Superb. Do all that it claims.
Scent. 5 stars. Good to have scentless mascara don't you think?
Result. 5 stars! REALLY. My explanation above says it all. :p

I may repurchase this after finishing 3 other mascaras on my stock. lol. I really hoped that Fairydrops would release a brown mascara version of this.

So what do you think?

See you guys in the next post! :D

Carol

Review - Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister Moonlight Virgin Edition

Well hello, folks! :D Sorry for being MIA for some weeks. Kinda dunno what to post... *such a lame reason!*
Actually just having bad mood days due to projects that I have to remake. Yes. Remake.

Okay, so I'll be doing review again.
It's Majolica Majorca's, which is a limited edition of their 10th anniversary. It's the Moonlight Virgin chapter, released for summer. (Ya I know it's late already). I DO need to use them for a quite of time to give my opinion, no? /gg

Majolica Majorca itself is a Japan drugstore brand, which from what I know is famous for their mascara because it's meant for Asian's short and straight lashes. The thing is, they just don't sell in Indonesia! :@
For a Japan lover like me it's just irritating.... ;_;

And the products that I'm going to review is their famous mascara, *drumroll* Lash Expander Edge Meister!
It's actually brown, which their not-limited-edition one is in black.
Pardon for the bad lightning... It's hard to find good lightning with plain background in my house...

Majolica Majorca's packaging is always a 10 stars for me. It's just exactly my taste. Somewhat mysterious, lots of curvy lines, and also the colors is fascinating. Packed mainly brown, with gold and aqua-ish blue.
The size is just the usual size like other mascara. Maybe a bit 'slimmer'. ('u')

The 'stamp' of trademark from Majolica Majorca on top of the tube
Just gorgeous, right?! That details in gold is just purrrfecto. LOL

This is how the mascara 'wand' brush looks like.
(Sorry kinda blurry.. I don't have a steady hand..)
It's not a usual brush actually. It's a comb. And there are fibers in the formula.
The curvy side is for most of your upper lashes, while the straight and shorter side is for the lower lashes and the hard-to-reach part of you upper lashes. (They said.)

My experience with this is kinda messy.. I was an amateur in mascara and this makes my lid dirty at a few first attempt. The importance is that, if you sucks as an amateur at curling your lashes, like me, DO NOT use this for 'practice'. I end up switching to Fairydrops's mascara when I started college because I was bad at curling my lashes and this makes my lash even worse, even though it's really lengthening and flattering.

After few weeks of curling my lashes, I think I'm fine at it already and I start using this again. This is how it looks (after really long hours).

From kind of lower view, you can see that it's super long and do not clump at all
(Still have to admit my lashes are super messy on position itself  *sigh*)
But the brown color doesn't stand out in this picture... Hard to get the color y'know...

On this picture the brown is much more noticeable. Just compare it with my lower lashes. Different, right?
In reality it's more brown and it's even like red-ish brown.

So far, just take it as 10, out of 10 times of usage, 9 times, the lashes will low down a bit. I believe it's due to humidity and temperature.. And if you wear it for a very long time period, somehow the brown looks kinda 'worn off' even that the length stay still. This mascara is meant for lengthening from the start anyway....

A lot of people said that this is so hard to remove, but in my case, I don't have a problem with that.. Honestly at the first time I use it, I was surprised since it can't be removed with just showering and washing my face. LOL. Because all the previous mascara I use would worn off when I wash my face (even if it's waterproof. :p

Let's get to the conclusion part.
Design and packaging, Undoubtly 5 stars for me. I just love Majolica Majorca's design!
Formula. 5 stars. Dry just in right time. Not too fast, not too long.
Lengthening. 5 stars. It's SUPER lengthening.
Curls. 4.5 stars. Rarely lowers.
Seperation. 5 stars! Definitely! That is just what I love with Japan mascara.
Scent. Is this needed? It actually just smells like other mascara, just for me smells better.

So what do you think?
I do really want to make a daily make up tutorial.. Just hope that it'll be my next post, kay?
See you in the next post!

Carol
