Review - Canmake Coloring Eyebrow in #4 Bronze Brown

Hello, folks! :D

Another review on makeup products from the Hong Kong haul.
I bought this 'cause my mom finally allow me to dye my hair and I definitely don't want my brows to stay black. Actually not the shade I really want, just for the sake that Canmake is cheaper than other brands like Kate and MJ.

So here it is!
It's just about the size of usual mascara tube and it looks just so flat. Not interesting. Well price is contrary to great packaging anyway.

When I first open it I was like, crap it's so messy. IT IS MESSY. The brush just seems like bigger than the opening and every time I put it back, the product's just spilled over around the opening. Why didn't Canmake make the brush smaller or make the tube bigger? :/
See what i mean? I just don't like the fact that it makes the opening looks dirty. :@

The brush is just usual brush. Nothing really special about it. I was and am still wondering, whether it is produced to be not straight, or ......

Swatches!
Needless to say, it has LOTS AND LOTS of shimmer.

It doesn't claim to be waterproof or anything, but I just wanna test it out. Well obviously, even before you wet it, it's easily removed.

Up is without, aka my plain brow (LOL) and down is with.

What I love is that this can double up as a replacement of the eyebrow pencil, which I currently run out of. The color difference isn't that obvious though if you see it like this. I actually expected some more dramatic difference in color...

Conclusion.
Design. 2 stars. Not interesting. Well it's because the price, I believe.
Packaging. 2 stars. I hate either the-too-big brush or the-too-small opening.
Staying power. 3 stars. Can't last all day.
Color. 2 stars. No significant changes in color.
Additional, can double it as 'brow-filler' and the result still looks natural! Win for this. 5 stars.

So what do you think?

I really wanna review a lipstick for the next post. Just hoping the lighting would cooperate. LOL. Or maybe I'll just review an eyeliner. Wait for it!;)

See you guys in the next post! :D

Carol

IBB Make Up Challenge February 2014

Hello folks! :D

Finally another MUC done after like, 6 months? or maybe more.
Same as before, this is held by Indonesian Beauty Blogger or that usually called IBB.

This month's theme is Summer Fairytale and yeah, my look turn kinda, usual. Not like too much (in color I mean) or something. It's summer. not spring. Lol. That's just my opinion. :p

So here's the pic!
Kinda awkward pose, eh? lol but I'm liking it <3

Somehow in here I looked kinda tanned/burnt.... Stupid camera.

The eyeshadow's colours don't really stand out... I'm using a white and soft red eyeshadow on top, pale yellow-goldish eyeshadow on below and a burgundy-like pencil liner, a lil black eyeliner and whitish-rose-gold on my waterline. Below is the close up.
The shape is actually a butterfly wing... I had draw something like this for like many many times since I'm in junior high school. So the base is the burgundy eyeliner, and on top is the black eyeliner to show some pattern...

And at last, my favorite photo!
Man I'm loving this. xD

Okay below is the picture I submitted for the MUC
Now, the list of product I used:
1. Etude House Shini Star BB Cream
2. ZA Concealer
3. Canmake Eyebrow Color
4. Majolica Majorca Humming Book 2, 3, 4
5. Etude House Drawing Show Creamy Pencil RD304
6. La Rose de Versailles pen eyeliner in Black
7. Majolica Majorca Shiny Ray Liner
8. Kate eyeshadow + Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream for Contour
9. Morisse eyelashes
10. Etude House Look at My Lips in #5
11. Alice Eye no. 6 in Blue

And oh! FYI, it's not a wig. the long part of the hair is my real hair. I do have that 'tail'. It's quite long that it reached my belly button already xD
Have been keeping it since senior high school.

I guess that's all!

Let me know what you think!
See you guys in the next post!

With Love,
Carol

Review - Canmake Shimmer Jelly Eyes in #4 Frozen Mint

Hello, folks! :D
Meet me again in my 2nd post by the day.

I have a lot of free time this week since my assignments are done and the house 3rd and 4th floor is being renovated so I stuck in my room, from morning till now. Don't worry I still eat and bath and all. Tee-hee.

Into the topic.
I'd wanted this eyeshadow from a looonnggg time back then. Because I really want a PINK gel/cream eyeshadow and the color is perfect.
When I'm in Japan I searched all around and I found it. In Yamato-Saidaiji Station, when we're on our way from Osaka to Ise. My sis said if it's available here, it MUST be available too in Tokyo. Make sense. So I didn't buy it.
Guess what? I WAS TOTALLY WRONG. The product is not sold in any Canmake stand I saw. I searched and searched and I found out that it's already DISCONTINUED.
Damn it Canmake, why don't you update your website and left me hanging here!
So fine, I left Japan and went back to Singapore. With hope that I will find one. In the end, I found it! But it's the 2nd shade that I wanted. But who cares, I grab it and pay.
Until now I still carving for pink gel/cream eyeshadow fyi. *sigh* Once I get it I'll switch to brown-colored contact lenses. Really.

About Canmake itself, the actual name is Canmake Tokyo. Which aimed for school girls (i read it somewhere) since its low-priced products.

So here's the thing! It's quite small or quite big? Very simple packaging, very unique for an eyeshadow.

This is the applicator or you can say the tip?

Look how unique it is for a jelly eyeshadow?! I'm lovin' it. It's looks exactly like lipgloss's tip, don't you think?

It's also very soft so it won't hurt your eyelid when you apply it.

The swatches. Unorderly applied and blended.
Seriously it's very pigmented. just my camera can't catch it by the lightning ;_;

And also, it claims to be waterproof. Yes. waterproof. Let's see, shall we?

Surprisingly, it doesn't worn off. But as you wipe it, even with wet hand, it comes off. Oh well, whaddya expect from jelly eyeshadow?? xD
I was wrong. I once used this for some hang out, no sweating, and I didn't remove them when I took bath and wash my face, and the shimmers stayed, even that the color came completely off.. Not that I didn't clean them properly! But the shimmers in the eyeshadow can't worn off easily. So I need make-up remover for it.. .__.

Conclusion:
Packaging. 2.5 stars. Very ordinary and average, despite it's an eyeshadow.
Color. 4 stars. Very pigmented but not the color I want unfortunately. If you apply it too thin it looks like you've just been hit.
Applicator. 5 stars. Veeerrrrryyy soft. Love it.
Staying power. 3 stars. It's waterproof but 0 on smudgeproof. But the shimmer stays hardly without proper removal
Price. 2.5 stars. Since it's in Singapore it's expensive. If I buy it from Japan I'll rate 5 stars. Seriously!

So what do you think??

I've stocked up some more pics for future post but still not complete...
Hopefully it can be finished this week or else it'll be next week's post. (>v>)
Thanks for reading! Don't forget to follow me! :D
See you all soon!

With love,
Carol
